The initial setup was good, with good storytelling and events nicely shown, but then it turned into some completely other story...

From then on it was just a stream of rushed narration, as if the author had planned a much longer story then run out of time to finish it.
The later parts were a little disappointing, sadly.

I would have enjoyed it better if it had simply ended after the 'break'.

Thank you for the feedback. I am sorry it didn't end up as enjoyable as I hoped. This my first experiment into a Halloween with a supernatural element and one of two of my first stories posted and read by anyone other than my friend. She has never given me any feedback on dozens of stories I will take what I get here.
