There is the famous story "Entering Rubber Society" by LatexLadyLL, which I love very much and find it super inspiring. The contents goes in a similar direction. Rubber religion would be one part of a rubber society, but of course the idea of a rubber religion could also make sense without an ambient rubber society. For me many (strict and restrictive) rules and rituals would be an important feature of such a "religion". I could imagine different levels of rubber religion, where the highest, or better: deepest (extreme) level would be something "very orthodox" (in a general sense), where the participants of that level live most of the time (I find your 21/7 idea great) encased in rubber, face hooded and gas-masked, face (and even eyes) always invisible to other humans, preferably (part time) gagged, nose tubed... Their life is very ritualistic, similar to the life of nuns and monks..., but in the context of rubber. So these form somehow the leading figures of some kind of "rubber church", in the sense that for members of this church/religion they are the ideal and pure prototype, and only the "fittest" will be able (and allowed) to reach this deepest level. For those (few) people I would actually expect that at that state they actually ARE somehow addicted to their constant rubber enclosure.
Only some of my ideas in this direction... I also got much inspirations from the great recent story "The Institute" by @Observer

A very fun read, but if I am honest, not as sexy as the later stories with Phil and Maggie. It is deeply fascinating though, it really adds some interesting and fun background and context to the characters, it deepens what we know about them, their history, and the very strong interest in Egypt, and mummies, does a lot to explain where we picked up again later on with the 3D printing
Overall though, it felt more focussed on the characters and the mechanics, the decoration, etc, but not much focus on the feelings, the emotions, the inner world of the people involved. It was more of "watching" than "feeling" or "experiencing" if that makes sense.

His internal world, the thoughts and concerns all ring very true and real, you really can see how he would be having such thoughts, concerns and worries, locked away in the darkness, wondering what his wife was really thinking and doing.
The introduction to the "power women" of the area makes so much sense as the reason for her being off on her own, there is a quiet sense that this is opening a new door for her, for them, and setting them on the road to riches and community standing.
For all of this, I think this part lacks some of the power and feeling of the earlier parts, since its more "quiet inner world" and looking at how he is thinking and responding to all of this. It does wrap things up rather nicely though, and does offer answers to the big questions here
