You might want to take a look at "Scare Me", up in the Bondage section a few days ago. A girl, an actress, needs to understand a role where her character is betrayed by a lover and left to die. Her boyfriend, to give her the experience, blindfolds her and then ties her to a railroad track where there are two sets of adjacent rails, one which is a spur line and unused, and another where a freight train will be by at 60 mph in a hour or two. He tells her a story of how another girl made him a better offer and part of is is that she must die, so no, he's not going to untie her. Being blindfolded she's not entirely sure as the story progresses if she's on the spur line or not but she loses sight of the overall scene and decides she's on the active line. The first part of the story they talk, the second part he (apparently) leaves and she gets to deal with her thoughts of preparing to die, alone and betrayed. She finds out when the train goes by that she's on the spur line and was never in danger but right up until then she's assuming the worst. It has a lot of your elements there.
If you're stuck on a story, there are discussion boards for all the different types of stories here. You can post the basic info and ask for suggestions. I've done this and there are a lot of imaginative, helpful people here to make suggestions! Nothing here is "War and Peace" but everything here is appreciated, just like your stories will be. Just be ready: a lot of stories get no comments at all in the forum and if yours are that it's not you or your work.
