Gone Again

Just wanted to let y'all know I'm going to be gone for a while.  My best friend went to the doctor today with back pain.  He called me after to let me know the doctor scheduled him for steroid shots to his lower back on Thursday, and he'll need a driver until he recovers.  Which means I'm heading out tomorrow, with no idea of when I'll get back home.  I see no problem using his computer on occasion, which means I'll be able to check in now and then, assuming I can remember my login, but I won't be able to check the forum multiple times a day like I usually do.

You're a good man for taking care of your friend. Those steroid shots can sometimes do miracles (at least for a while) and your friend may be feeling much better very quickly.

It's been quiet around here lately. I'll be looking forward to your return.

Hey all, I'm back for now.  My friend got his steroid shots, and they seem to be helping his hips for now.  Unfortunately, they're doing nothing for his back.  He has another appointment on the 23rd, and maybe they'll decide on something then.  At the moment, it looks like either more shots or burning the nerves, which means I'll be back over there doing the driving and toting for a while, but that's not for a couple weeks.  Thanks for the good thoughts and kind words.
