Gag Question

I have an off the wall question for you folks.  I've tried a variety of google searches, but have yet to find the search terms that yield an answer.

Have any of you ever bitten a piece out of a gag? Especially a ball gag? Have you ever seen or heard of someone biting through a gag?

If yes, feel free to share some details.

I have never actually bitten through a gag but I have worn through a leather insert gag.

After a few years of use there were impressions in the leather where my teeth rested when the gag was in use . After a strenuos session hopping about the house after a 'treasure trail' of keys, as I was releasing myself I realised that the insert felt 'loose'. Upon examination I found that my teeth had finally penetrated the leather and that the insert was only being held on its strap by small pieces of leather at the sides. Needless to say I threw it away and bought a replacement.
