I've been looking through my old albums recently (that's LPs to those of you over a certain age) and I started thnking it would be a good idea to catalogue all the covers showing images of bondage, either artwork or photos.

Here are three to start off with: Pat Benatar - Get Nervous; Nina Hagen - Revolution Ballroom; Strapps eponymous first album.

I'm sure there must be many more out there. Let's see how many we can find.

Regards

Mmmm...always had a thing for Pat Benatar! Never heard of Nina or the Strapps, though Nina looks like she was/is pretty hot.

Great pics Steve! Thanks for sharing.

Yes...some of us are old enough to remember what an LP and an album cover is.

Some very nice additions Fordman. Especially Taylor Swift. I've always found her a hottie.

I saw a behind-the-scenes video made during the photo shoot for the Mean album, and when Taylor is preparing for the railroad track shot she says "I've never been tied up on camera before."

I thought, that kind of implies she's been tied up off camera. Nervous response or Freudian slip?

We may never know.

Hmmm...interesting, very very interesting. (He says in his best Dr. Freud accent).

Thanks guys

I'd forgotten all about the Stones' Black and Blue album. I think this was the image on the original inner gatefold sleeve (although I may have got that wrong). The link you've posted is actually a publicity poster.  I remember now that it caused a bit of controversy at the time.  According to Wikipedia:

"The album was promoted with a controversial billboard on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood that depicted the model Anita Russell, bound by Jagger under the phrase "I'm Black and Blue from the Rolling Stones – and I love it!" The billboard was removed after protests by the feminist group Women Against Violence Against Women, although it earned the band widespread press coverage. "

Good to see that Mick got 'hands-on' with the rigging!!

Two more:

Slaughter - Stick it to Ya

The Detroit Cobras - Tied & True

(I love the subtlety implicit in the fact that you only see the ankles in the latter. It fires the imagination as to what might be happening higher up)

Well done Fordman!

There's what I think is another Heavy Metal album cover that probably dates from the 1980s which I've been trying to track down for a week or so now, but without any luck so far.

As far as I can remember, it features artwork of a giant sitting at a table, with a tiny woman bound to a post on the table. The trouble is I can't remember the name of the band or the album.

Anyone got any ideas on this one?

Thanks Steve, I'd like to see that one also.

Thanks Dana, I like the Ted Nugent cover, obviously where he got the idea for his cookbook, Kill It and Grill It.

Here's a few more.

Arizona rock band Digital Summer.
Album title is Aquarius but marketed off the lead track 50 Shades. Smart.

Heavy metal band Perverse Dependence. Album title: The Patterns of Depravity
Lead track title: Milking the Festering Prostate
(That this cover art tests the limits of depravity goes without saying, you've been warned)

Female Rapper Remy Ma. Album and title song: Shesus Khryst
