Authors: What are you currently working on?

A Pensive Pen

I have a lot of ideas and drafts in the pipeline right now, and tend to spend a long time working on a story and editing drafts. It has me wondering what forthcoming treats other authors might have in the making.

My current project is about a 40-something woman who hires a couple of self-styled 'bondage consultants' to fulfill a long denied fantasy, which turns into an unexpected descent into captivity and mistaken identity. It trends a bit more extreme than I'm used to writing and is already proving to be a long story. I'm already at 25k words and might hit 35 before I'm done.

It's the next step I'm taking to try and develop my storytelling skills, not just my 'porn-writing' skills.

How about you?

Great topic Alex.

Currently I am trying to wrap-up stories I have had to break into separate chapters. I have 3 stories that I need tie-up before continuing on the 5 stories I am still working on.

The 3 follow-ups are for: "Precious Marissa"; "Synthia"; "Kyle's Bad Idea".

As for works under development:

"Drone Trek"
Is about a woman whom loves outdoor bondage and has developed a drone she must track while bound in differing amounts of bondage determined by the computer.

"Bouncing Along"
Follows an ex-professional pogo-stick competitor who decides to modify her competitive tool for her nymphomaniac pleasures and test her endurance.

"The Long Fuck"
Is based on Richard Bachman's (Stephen King) book called "The Long Walk". It is a woman's version of the competition of the story...however, instead of having to be the last one walking, and being executed for falling out of the walk; my story pits the women against a fucking-machine and the ones to quit or be further disqualified lands them in a life of slavery.

"Isla de BDSM"
Is about an island that is being turned into a Member's Only BDSM Resort and a Slave Training Camp. It follows the first staff being trained into the roles of Masters/Mistress's, Subordinates, and Switches. There will be a minimum of 13 chapters to it as each chapter will cover each month of the year long training and includes a separate chapter which provides a description of the requirements and selection process of the prospective staff.

"The Ransom Payment"
Is about a wife whom believes her husband has been kidnapped, and, in her attempts to deliver a ransom payment of a pathetic $5,000, becomes a BDSM victim of her husband's kidnapper...himself.

For now...these are what I am working on. I hope they sound interesting to the Members who like my stories.

PS...No, I never intended to get so deeply behind in my writing. However, once a story idea hits me, I have to start it or the idea will get lost.

Dana

PSS...For those of you wondering about Jessica; as I did not mention her in my 'works to be completed'; the final (possibly) three chapters are on Gromet's 'to-publish' list and will be made available when he gets to them; possibly meted out one-at-a-time if that is how he prefers to offer them.

It already happened to me... I'm drawn in someone else's universe and writing stories located there. This time it's about a team of female secret agents having bondage filled adventures.

Lobo De la Sombra

That's right, Alex, make me actually examine what's going on inside my head.  With any luck, I'll find my way back out before Easter.   ;D  As to the stories under construction in there somewhere, I've got two chapters to the Fetish World story brewing, a story about semi-public self bondage, a backfired revenge type story, a story about someone who learns that being whole isn't just a physical thing.  I've also got several stories already partially written that I need to get back to at some point.  If they ever develop thought typing, I'll need a much bigger hard drive.
The more I look, the more I see.
The more I see, the more I learn.
The more I learn, the more I know.
The more I know, the less I understand.
The less I understand, the more I look.

Currently, the next Chapters of Stone Basin Coven. I also have a Slavivarsery story started but back burnered

64Fordman

I also have a mistaken identity story in the works, Mom tries on daughters cheer costume during college visit. Also, two sisters make side bets on the outcome of their stock trades, and there is a sequel to Free Shipping in there somewhere. Oh yeah, the who-done-it mystery set in Victorian England I've been working on for two years, but don't hold your breath for that.

Personally, I'm hoping to finish "Together We Are Stronger" this year. I started with it just after Halloween last year, and it's not a solo project! I really want to see it done.

Ongoing, for the last two or three years: "From Ashes" (originally The Association). Finally, Heather's story and the early years of the people that ultimately built the Rubber Hotel. Also has the origins of the centipede cult, and more of their doings. I won't finish it this year either, but maybe in 2017 I will.

Ongoing, "Strange Company" (working title). A prequel to a finished story that hasn't been posted here yet, but may show up any month, it's in Gromet's hands. Another one in my examination of consent series. Very much in the genre of "office" situations.

Still planning, "Nilma in Oz" (might change the title), a bit of an Ozma joke there I suppose. The story of Nilma vs Centipede cult against a backdrop of politics, corporate corruption, and investigative journalism. Not really any sex in this one, so I'm not sure it will ever make it to the plaza. I have some scenes of this planned out in detail, some parts of the plot, but a lot is lacking.

Plotted in detail, awaiting time to write, a suspense story of mistaken identity, and rubber, with a girl on the run. No title for this yet.

Plotted in detail, awaiting time to write, crime and punishment in a sci-fi setting, in a bleak mining colony. No title for this either. This one has been sitting in my notes for ages, deserving of some kind of effort.

Additional Sins. Plotted in detail, started, aborted, started again, left dangling. Sequel to Original Sins, with Marcus and Dehlia, the three witches, and dark revelations at the end of WWII.

Weekend Getaway, a Halloween story that missed Halloween. Maybe next year. Two old friends take a long weekend away at a spa, and stay in a creepy old house, where the landlord has sinister intentions. This was plotted in detail, and is quite short. Haven't written any of it yet.

Mermaids. Another Halloween story that missed Halloween, about four years ago. About half written and completely plotted. Needs finishing sometime.

The Servant of the Haunted Costume. Another Halloween story, follows on from my earlier Haunted Costume stories. The protagonist from before becomes an HR manager and concocts a twisted plot to feed new victims to the costume.

Narelle's Rediscovery, basically a rewrite of Narelle's Discovery in chronological order, showing events from before the currently published story, and much additional material to clarify exactly what the bad guys were up to.

The Little Shop of Rubber (extended edition) finally Little Shop of Rubber with (a) an ending, yay, and (b) additional scenes from the viewpoint of other characters so it's a apparent what's going on "behind the scenes", and generally made more interesting.

So, I'm trying to work with a bunch of things. But what gets my very limited time and attention this year, hard to say. Sadly, some of these stories are never going to get finished. No way around that. Most likely I'm going to try and progress Strange Company and From Ashes.

SwitchMan

Oh boy, I have to even think about the stories I have in the hopper.  I can think of story ideas far faster than I can write them.  The first story I ever wrote, "Susan's Return," is still unfinished.  Someday, I would like to complete it.  My most likely and personally interesting project is a hopefully medium-sized sequel to "The Body Puzzle," tentatively entitled "The Chastity Conundrum."  I also have two kidnap/enslavement story ideas called "Janet's Dentist" and "The Kindness of Strangers."

ElectroPainLover

I am quite happy you have decided to get back into writing Switchman. As you can see by what I am working on...I have a problem with thinking of stories faster than I can write them also. I like Lobo's idea of a 'thought-writer' though, my pages would be so friggin' scrambled as I have a bad habit, sometimes, of thinking of one story while working on a different one.

I look forward to your works coming to fruition and being able to read them.

I'm currently working on the novel length "The Secrets of Shackleton Grange" which is taking up most of my time at present. I also have a sixth episode in the "Long Time Bound" series in the pipline.

Once "Shackleton Grange" is complete, I have a sequel to "Ever Increasing Bondage" in the planning stages, tentatively entitled "Continually Increasing Bondage" and featuring all the characters from EIB.

There is no cure for Merinthophilia. Once you've got it, you're stuck with it for life.

Zephyr

A story about a trucker who meets his dreamgirl and the bondaage adventures they have, tentatively named "Shack". And several stories with the "His Birthday Present" expanding on the relationships there and explaining why some of them wound up where they were in HBP. Plus several other stories nearly finished, a mind control story or a "Good girl gets wild revenge" story. The writer's  block comes and goes and life gets in the way no dierent from anyone else. Happy to hear about the stories in the pipeline and looking forward to them!
The race is long, and in the end it is only with yourself.

I look forward to seeing the two of you combine your ideas.

I sent a machine-gone-amok bondage story to Gromet a few weeks ago. Currently resisting the urge to just post it on the board, but in the meantime I'm working on the sequel!
The first part is trash related but I'm aiming for a grabbed-and-washed theme for the next.

I have two active pieces in work right now:

"Long Haul" is supposed to be a tender and loving bit about a young man and young woman falling for each other, despite their baggage. She has a dominant streak that is becoming a larger and more important part of her life without her fully realizing it.  He is a childhood abuse survivor who has walled out the world, interacting with it only superficially while trying to keep the lid on his own feelings, which are mostly anger.  It is a little bit out of my comfort area and is highly unrealistic, as so many fantasy stories are, because the people are too perfect.

"No Love" << Working title>> is about a college student who gets abducted by a slightly older college professor because the prof is convinced the student, Andy, had some role in the rape of one of the prof's star pupils.  She's slightly unhinged.  Well, maybe more than slightly.  After taking weeks of abuse from her, he gets the chance to turn the tables. In all the 'loving dominance' stories I've been reading lately, she falls for him, he forgives her, falls for her, and decides that he likes being a subbie little doormat. That is not how this one will end.

A few others are simmering away on the back burner: a story about a young man with a bdsm fetish and his on again off again girlfriend coming to grips with including his desires in their life. A story about a young married couple, again with a slightly dom husband who likes to tie his wife up, and her rejection of that facet of his persona and the fallout that comes with it. A story about time travel with a lot of fetish. Another time travel story where a 'Terminator' comes back to assassinate someone but gets his memory scrambled. Fetish hilarity ensues.

There's a ton more stuff brewing behind the back burner, but that's what's on my mind now.

I look forward to reading more from  y'all :)

Thought typing.  That's a good idea except if you are sending your mom a note. :-\

But it would be cool. Here is what works for me.  I use a program by Dragon software called Naturally Speaking.  it is a voice-to-text program.  It works pretty good, just talk into the mic and a text document is created.  I use a handheld minirecorder for ideas and notes a lot, but to write stuff I use a headset and I can pace around and the words get recorded as text.    And yes there is a small learning curve, and of course I must go back and edit stuff but one must always go over a piece and edit it.

I find this method better for stream of conscious writing, where one lets the mind wander and flow and the story chooses its own path. It allows me to talk a story out and not get interrupted by typos or formats or those other visual distractions. Typing can become mechanical, and slows me down, which is not a problem when editing which should be considered and accurate.

But of course, I still have a couple of notebooks with manuscript scribbles all over them.
