It seems mail boxes were started anew as the forum was. 

Try checking your email addy you use for the forum, you should find a copy of messages there.

As the forum and the database it use to store the data has been completely reinstalled, all messages in the forumsystem are gone as well.
(unless they manage to find a backup, and sort out what messages belongs to what users)

I was kind of thinking the same thing Daffy, forty thousand years ago some "primitive" cave man drew some pictures on a cave wall, (actually several of them), and we can still understand them today. This technology is wonderful and all that, the cave man's world went as far as he was willing to walk, where ours can circle the globe in a long moment, but they may have been on to something.

Close though Daffy very close. Yes backups will be done in future - lesson learnt. The site is backed up but the forum hasn't been done hence the problem.

I can see Jackie writing her stories on cave walls for future historians to find... wonder what they'll think!
