Thanks, Fordman.  I'd actually heard that statement that started the story once, that if the hands were free, someone could get loose from any bondage.  It made me wonder if there might be a way to bind someone securely without binding their hands.  The story kind of grew from there, and I'm happy you enjoyed the way it turned out.
