Hey Lobo,

Sounds like someone was a Star Trek: Voyager fan. I heard Captain Janeway's voice when reading James' lines.

Good story...very well told.

Was and still am, Dana.  I still watch my way through all seven seasons now and then, as well as all four seasons of Enterprise.  I wasn't actually thinking of Janeway, or anyone else in the Star Trek universe, when I wrote this, but I will definitely take the comparison as a compliment.  Thanks for your words, and I'm glad you enjoyed the story.

I, too, re-watch basically all of the Star Trek series' from time to time. My favorites are Enterprise and Next Generation. Just the way that you wrote her quick, short questions and replies automatically made me hear Janeway's voice. Just triggered the thought that it must have been written by a ST fan.
