Welcome back Locked! I was genuinely concerned for your wellbeing and hope you didn’t find yourself in an oubliette of your own these past 6-8 months. Though I suspect you’d rather enjoy that… Nonetheless, solid storytelling as always. You are a master of suspense and tension. I hope to be reading Chapter 11 soon with the tale meandering back to Jo and Chris’s frame of reference. I recently had the similar thought that (in literature and real-life) the sub is ever at the center of attention, sensuality, and response; perhaps pulling more enjoyment/fulfilment out of the BDSM lifestyle than the dom, as seems to be the internal struggle regarding Jo and how she’s beginning to view Chris and his psyche. The addition of Slaves 1 and 2 are welcome and I can’t wait to see how the dynamics work out in the grand hierarchy of things. I just hope that things don’t become obvious or telegraphed (i.e. I’m waiting to see if there’s a good twist in the future) regarding Chris and Jo. Again going back to the well of the initial chapters and my previous posts, I’m a hopeless romantic and your tale is my guilty pleasure. But they are your puppets and I’m just another audience member, I look forward to watching the rest of the show.

I often go back and re read the earlier chapters, so invested in on the evolving relationship between Jo and Chris and wait with anticipation to see how you will intertwine all of the characters you've developed.

Also, the "Continues in part 11" at the bottom of the page is such a tease.

Well, thank you for the encouragement! Chapter 11 is done and I hope.you all like it.

I have ideas for the tale to continue, but as someone who rarely reads stories that run to xxxxxxxxx 25, or whatever, can I seriously ask is there appetite for much more?

My feeling is I have either no end in sight, or I can wrap things up with chapter 12 and chapter 12 B (an alternative ending).

That's if I don't end up bound in a dungeon before I finish of course ;-)

Glad to hear their is more coming. You ask if there is no appetite for more, the answer is yes. It's a good story with plenty to going for it. It seems popular from just what feedback I see on the forums. I know I have enjoyed it so far. I also understand ending it. As someone who has their own long series still going, though it has a definitive end, some people enjoy longer series and others don’t. Do what you feel good doing.

Like yourself I don't particularly care for overly long stories that drag on well past good concluding points. Many, myself included, got absorbed in your characters and their tale; my advice would be to give it the ending(s) you think best, the ones they deserve. In that way your work will be appreciated for the effort that it is. I have a file full of extra-long chapter stories that were posted with the intention of reading them someday... yet life continues to get in the way.

If there's more in the tank, begin a new series. Who knows? Perhaps Chris and Jo will have cameos therein.

Happy to see the next step and the likelihood of another story. The story is engaging and progressing well in my opinion. I look forward to more as variations of this type of story have ran through my mind aplenty and nice to see someone else's take on it.

I have to admit that I lost track of this series for a bit, (I don't always get the time to read as much as I might like) but yesterday with some time on my hands I binge-read all the way to chapter eight; it's a wonderful kinky adventure... I love the dark downward spiral these characters are all trapped in, and I can't wait for the inevitable hard landing at the end... that is after chapter eight.
 
Personally speaking it would also be nice if there were two potential endings, maybe a not so nice one, and a more "happily ever after" one. Or, maybe you could revisit with these characters at some point in the future; as in five years later Jo gets sold off at the human on-line auction to somebody far away, maybe after Chris loses his mind completely and becomes a babbling pile of psychological mush; so nothing more than a collared human robot for Freya to both torment and provide for in perpetuity. Or, if it's to be really really dark, Chris at some point gets his guy parts removed in the dungeon while under a local atheistic (so he can watch while helplessly bound) and they then end up stored in a jar on somebody's desk, as in there is no turning back now?

Pay-per-view on the event, or even on a bunch of the events to date maybe? I could imagine this could be an alternate revenue stream for some of the participants, or even just for Freya exclusively maybe, if Jo and Chris are visually appealing, if their torments are animated and "real" looking. If this scenario is in chapters nine to twelve please disregard, I don't want to spoil the conclusion for myself by reading the ending first...

 Since slaves don't own things I could also see Jo's considerable wealth being confiscated by Freya at some point, (by some creative manipulation, perhaps even lightly tortured into giving up certain passcodes) all to finance her own kinky pursuits. Jo would then be used and abused by Freya until the novelty eventually wore off, then shared with other less kind "guests" after that, and then eventually auctioned off to an unknown fate, perhaps even delivered in a shipping crate to her new owner, in another country, via private plane. It's objectifying I know, but also the perfect ironic demise for a wanna-be dom not up to the full challenge.

As an author it takes time and words to build such a fictional world, and this one you've built allows for some creative mulit-directional endings, and as an author myself I have to say that I'm a bit envious...

I just finished the last chapter, you could leave it right there, or you could obviously continue the story. Chris knowing of Freya's former exploits with others maybe "less than fully willing to participate" is a wonderful touch, both his fantasy and horror coming to full fruition. He's human collateral at this point, likely no more than pale flesh and bones, long stringy and greasy hair, and oh that "I don't really bathe any longer" smell too.

Jo I think has been driven to near insanity by all this, maybe it's just being the sole "caregiver" for her former husband, or perhaps she already had a bit of bipolar going on anyway; who knows? She's owned now, by perhaps a sadist even, so the opportunities are endless.

I also love that Freya is selling this pay-per-view, it's so hot and sexy that one's suffering becomes another's income stream.

It's a dark fantasy obviously, but in the real world I couldn't see Chris' future being all that long or healthy, not to mention what to do with him if he should get sick. His arms and legs would become weak twigs from so little movement, muscles weakened to the point of being unable to even walk; not to mention scurvy or even the mental damage. If Chris is to survive this experience in the long term I think he need to be out of his dungeon for a bit, maybe a caged in dog run, or out in the yard on a long chain maybe?

Anyway, thank you for sharing this dark tale, Jackie.
