For the record, I have been reading stories here and elsewhere for years.  And I will rank this tale among the best that I have enjoyed. 
Innovation comes about through distress, through necessity.  It does not arrive without stress.  The character, Roxanne certainly experiences that and adapts to a new reality. 

Consequently, I have to ask if the author has been forced to explore and find new boundaries?  Or is this a favorite theme that has been well mapped out?

Either way, I think the tale is GREAT.  Thank you!

I originally thought it stars like another story (work in QC, old implant, party, etc) but after that situation becomes much more interesting. And both ending are good (is it really dark if she did it herself)).
