Voting in the spring 2017 story contest ends in a few days. My past comments to get out the vote have been directed toward the reading membership, this is for the authors.

Everyone is in striking distance of winning, and there may be a lesson to be learned from actors. At Academy Award nomination time they have no shame, if they’ve made a movie in the past year they pound the pavement and hit the phones soliciting votes.

There is nothing wrong with a little self-promotion, so if you have members you communicate with or that regularly comment on your stories, you might consider asking if they are aware you have a story in the contest, and maybe include a few lines describing why your story may appeal to them.

Voting ends March 30.

I would like to extend a(n) (unofficial) congratulations for winning the Spring 2017 Story Contest. Unofficial because Fordman has yet to declare the official winner.

Later today, after the contest winners are officially declared, I will offer my thoughts upon the stories submitted for entry.

A newsletter will also be circulated with the contest's official winners.

900 views and only 9 votes?
I don't get it.
Now that voting has ended, hopefully, 900 views will generate some feedback to the authors.

9?  I'm showing 16 votes cast.  Which, if each of the authors voted, means 11 other people also cast their votes.

Thank you to those who voted for my story.  For those who voted for a different story, thank you for voting.  And to the writers of the other stories, thank you for some very good stories.

I would like to thank each member who took  the time to vote in the Spring 2017 Story Contest...and an even bigger thank you to those of you who voted for my story  ;D.  With the quality of the stories you had to choose from, I'm sure making a decision was made that much more difficult. Again, thank you all...we appreciate you!

Will these stories automatically be posted to the story site, or should we send ours to Gromet in the usual fashion? I did look, but I'm on my phone instead of my computer, so I definitely could have missed it.  Thanks, Eido
