Does anyone know this site?

I received an email from someone claiming to have viewed my work on "Utopia Stories," a website I never heard of before. If any of my work has been printed there, then they printed it without my consent.

I went to the website to register on their forums in order to ask about this. I was absolutely unable to find the answer to their "prove you're not a spambot" security question. I scoured the forums and simply couldn't see it. The question is the exact (as in ***ABSOLUTELY*** exact) name of a forum moderator on their boards (hint: "Moderator" was incorrect).

I was blocked three times so far, for excessive invalid answers.

If anyone happens to know this website and is a member of their forums, could you private message me with some help?

Thanks,
Delilah Winston

I just created an account on Utopia Stories Delilah. The proper answer is the name of their Moderator -- Petrajane. It worked for me. If you need further help, I will be glad to assist you.

I'm one of the moderators of the Bound Forum. I've emailed GaggedUtopia (the Bound Forum and Utopia Stories sites admin) to take a look and reply to your post on the BF site. You should hear back from him soon.

Great MsBehavin!!! Couldn't have a better person to help Delilah with this issue than one of their own Moderators! Thank you!

GU mailed me back and asked for you to email him directly (gaggedutopia<a.t>gmail<dot>com) if you find one of your stories on his site and want to have him take it down.

Let me guess:  This person saw your work there and now wants to publish your work and earn you a lot of money?

I got the same message.  Also went to the site to see, as I had never submitted any of my work there.  I didn't try to join, however.  I just searched the site looking for my stories.  Didn't find any.

I've gotten one too from a 'Jake' at 'Stacked Publishing'. But mine said he found it on MCStories.com, which is one of three sites I have submitted to.

Jake @ Stacked Publishing seems to be somewhat shaky at best. Avoid.

Yeah, his letter didn't exactly instill a sense of trust in me ;)

Gromet

Utopia Stories & Gromet's Plaza were linked together by a shared forum - Bound Forum, stories that were posted on that forum were shared and posted onto both sites. Some stories were shared between sites too, so your story may have appeared on both sites in the past.

But since the establishment of our own forum again the sites have no connection with each other, so for your story to be posted on the UtopiaStories site you need to send it to them. Some authors on here have posted to both sites & others, which is not an issue. I don't own the copyright to your stories, you as the author do, it's your right to say when and where your stories can be distributed.

If they've posted it without your permission them write to the website and ask them to take it down, no permission exists between the site to allow cross sharing of stories posted on either website.

I respect the authors right to either allow or disallow the posting of their stories on the site, if anyone who wishes their stories or content to be removed from the Plaza I have always acted on this straight away and removed them at their request.

In my Writer's Guide you'll find details how to remove your stories from the Plaza:
Click here to remove your stories: gromet get my story off your site!

Unfortunately it seems that there is a number of sites that simply copy&paste stories. Never heard of the one you asked for, btw.
