2 rival witches getting punished.

Hi everyone, It's me again with another hunt for an older story.

I'll do my best to describe the story as much as I can - no quotes or exact names, just a description.

The story takes place in a village and it's surroundings.
Two rival witches/sorceresses are fighting against each other, terrorizing the villagers while at it.

A man passing through the village notices that and reveals himself as a powerful wizard.
He decides it's time to teach the 2 women a lesson and he strips them of their power, binds them in magical bondage and to humiliate them even more puts rings on them (nose if I recall).
They are sent to the village to work off their debt.

The wizard revisits the village after some time and offers the witches to free them,
but warns them that he cannot undo the piercings.
They quickly accept only to realize that now they are powerless and can't even protect themselves.

The locals offer them a way out - they can stay as slaves to pay off the remaining debt and then get freed.
They accept and get re-schackled by the blacksmith only to learn that they had been tricked.
They still need to earn their keep in addition to the debt so they will pretty much be slaves forever.

That's the end.
