Short, very well written, and deeply fascinating!  So many little details, so many little hints and glimpses into the wider world this is set in...  we learn a remarkable amount about the woman, and her situation, and our perception of her situation, how she came to be here, and how it is going to work out, keeps on shifting!

So much to think about and consider, in such a short and well presented package, quite wonderful!

Thanks so much! Btw, this is the same world that I used for a longer story I did years ago called The Lapdog.

Short, very well written, and deeply fascinating!  So many little details, so many little hints and glimpses into the wider world this is set in...  we learn a remarkable amount about the woman, and her situation, and our perception of her situation, how she came to be here, and how it is going to work out, keeps on shifting!

Thanks! No more on this story, I wanted it to be a short thing rather than a big epic. I had originally thought about namedropping Carla and Muffin from the Lapdog, but it seemed a bit mean to mention them and not show them. However, I will continue to revisit their continuity (The Carlaverse ).

No, no chapter 7. I see Carla and Muffin's story as done. I always intended it to finish where it did, and I don't want to mess up a good ending. However, although their story is complete, you might eventually see them as side characters in other stories in the same continuity. I'm getting back into writing, and have some ideas within the same setting.

I will continue to revisit their continuity (The Carlaverse ).
