Origin story

A couple of decades ago, there was a link on slashdot to an archive of text files taken from old message boards: technical documents, fan discussion, ASCII art, stories, etc. And being, at the time, a horny teenager, I of course went straight for the porn section.

There was this one story - a woman ties herself up in a barn; maybe she got stuck, maybe she was discovered. I seem to remember ants crawling on her. That was the first pornographic fiction I ever read. And I wanted to read some more. So I did a google search for "self bondage stories", and that's how I first ended up on Gromet's Plaza.

Reading the stories on here, and exploring the links ("a little helpless by yourself" and all that) really fuelled my love of self-bondage, and BDSM in general. In many ways, this site made me into the pervert I am today.

So when I wrote some stories of my own, it seemed only right that I should share them here.

Actually, that's not entirely true. I wrote one BDSM story before, many years ago. Back then, submitting a story by email seemed too intimidating, so I posted it on a different site that let you just upload stories. I can't for the life of me remember what that site was. I don't remember much about the story either, except for one reader comment that went something like "this is pretty dark even for me".

I've grown a lot since then.

I considered picking a new username. I actually stole "Twisted Smile" from the name of a bondage porn site that existed a long time ago. I was worried that the username might give people the wrong impression, like that my new stories are dark and 'edgy'. But it's the username I posted that old story under, and I guess I'm sentimental.
