Great work! Your writing gives us such a good insight on Athena's perspective and the history that feeds into it - I'd also be fascinated to see it from Juliette's perspective! The way things build up across Juliette's multiple visits and the way we see Athena's frustration and bitterness eventually fade (for all that she hangs on to them because, hey, at least that's safe and familiar!) works so well, and makes that final reveal that much more satisfying. And kudos on the colour matching - dark green would look absolutely divine on a pale redhead! Also, "emerald meeting sapphires" - excellent turn of phrase.

I do gotta say though, meaning it as a compliment, and 90% in jest - little bit bunny boiler behaviour from Juliette. Very impressive & very romantic! Just, also, y'know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Lol well whenever part 2 drops you'll definitely get your wish about seeing Juliette's perspective. And yeah redhead in green is a classic visual. To be honest when I first dropped this story over on DeviantArt I made a joke about it being my attempt to cram as many cliches into a story as possible.

And yeah Jules is a little obsessive, and has a hyper focus (that later part was drawn from how my partner fixates with her ADHD, just in Jules's case dialed up to 11 and somehow sustained for years lol). It is a little unhealthy to say the least, but ain't that love sometimes lol.

And glad you like the sapphires and emeralds line. It's cheesy, but it's one of my favorites I've written.

Zeedrot does it again. Fun story and some good feelings. I like that you saved the sex. I was hesitant during the first part because I'm thinking this is grometsplaza where's the bondage sex. You fulfilled the bondage sex amazingly. I don't know if there will be another part. Wouldn't say no but you really wrapped up this whole affair well.

You weren't wrong there - absolutely loved Juliette's perspective! Your narration did an excellent job of showing (as well as telling) her tendency towards overthinking, and I love the way she's almost mythologised Athena in her own head, and the way that that then contributes to things almost blowing up in both their faces once the ball gag comes out. You really do get the sense that these are two old friends, whilst also being young fools, and all the history between them.

Getting to see Juliette's perspective after their initial conversations was also great, particularly after accidentally mentioning Athena's mother. 'Cause it's so easy to build up in your mind "and then I'll say this, and I'll call back to it later, and she'll love it...", and then in the moment? Foot fully in mouth. And of course Juliette would react like that, not only because she said something so regrettable, but that she went off-script at all. She's convinced herself that if she sticks to the script, it'll all work out, and any deviation from it immediately puts her onto worst case scenario thinking. Similar note, the phrase "Deep blue and lush green" is such a nice callback to the aforementioned "Emeralds and sapphires" and really serves to underline the similarities and simultaneous differences between these two characters.

And then, of course, part III and as Crimsin said above, "This is grometsplaza where's the bondage sex". Excellent bondage sex, and while I very much wouldn't have minded seeing more of the bondage sex, skipping over parts of it works well to be able to focus on the bits that matter, where the bondage sex gives us further insight into these characters. Athena's minor panic of how much everything she's buying on Juliette's credit card and her - what is to her, an obvious assumptuion - that she'll have to put some of it back, only for Juliette to agree without even blinking is a nice touch, because that's very much the reality for people from those different backgrounds. I do wonder how that would affect their relationship in the future. Beautiful choice of place to leave it on - also wouldn't say no to further epilogue, but what you've done is excellent by itself.
