The description of the processing machine was the most intense part for me. The idea of losing your hair and being 'waxed' until you look like plastic is genuinely unsettling. It captures that fear of losing your individuality and being turned into a literal product. The barcode part gave me chills - it's the ultimate symbol of losing your humanity.
