I like the concept of the slotted slab with the straps.  Is this original, or did you come across an actual working example sometime in the past?

Would you object if someone were to borrow a variation on the theme in a future story?

I think the original inspiration probably came from Jim Weathers' work, specifically the Curious Obsession movies he did. https://bondagecafe.com/updates/wmbcv-1133-Emily-Addison---Slabbed.html shows the slab he built for the second of those movies, and I remember it being a very simple (i.e. easy to build) but flexible system. The mechanical catches that would tighten such straps are my own invention, and possibly not practical, but artistic license allows some fudge there. :-P

So since it has been passed on from Jim to me, it seems only just that it be paid forward into other work in the future. I'd love to see more strappy, solid, wooden bondage!

Chapter two will probably go up tomorrow now, chapter three is written but not edited. These characters have taken on a life of their own, so there is a plan for an arc of five chapters all told, more than I've written for years. Hopefully life will allow enough free time to get those last two chapters down before I lose momentum!
