When the ice lock gave her back her freedom, Lucie untied herself but didn't even have the courage to go and grab the handcuff keys from the table in the living room. It was only in the early hours of the morning that she found the courage to get up and remove the awkward handcuff still clinging to her wrist.

After making a few purchases in the shop and paying the balance of her stay, she climbed into the car to take the road to the airport.
