I loved the perpetuation of this service for Melissa, the adroit trap that was set, but I also wonder how Melissa's husband will react when he finds out that she has a job now. I can't help but to wonder if Nicole was happy to have somebody else there to deal with the mother in law for a while, or for that matter if the two "ladies" had conspired to prolong Melissa's service like this, Nicole's shock at the collar not coming off just part of the act for her.

Are maidbots a status symbol in this world that you've created, and if so do both ladies like having one, maybe even enough to purchase her "contract" from her husband, who may or may not already have somebody else in mind as a replacement wife? Maybe he suspects she has a lover on the side, and her emergency is visiting with that man, or even woman I suppose. I can't imagine that in this futuristic world that being out of phone-range is plausible, so this must be curious and throw up some red flags for Melissa's husband.

Speaking of husbands, I'm surprised that Nicole's didn't take advantage of the robotic servant for a bit of oral relief for himself at a bare minimum, even if he did realize that this was a human playing a part here.

So much fun, so many possible directions to take this, thank you again for sharing, Jackie.

Part 4 is definitely interesting, and a good read.  The sense of helplessness, anger, bitterness and hatred that our maid is feeling is very well shown and conveyed.  It makes quite the contrast from some maid-bot stories, where the maid is enjoying and revelling in her roll and position.

In a way this is more natural and reasonable, while still being quite surprising and fresh.

The husband surprised me, so clearly looking like he was planning on something most wicked with the new maid-bot, but then no further sign.  Perhaps the mother being in the house was the reason for his backing off.

The mother in law, Eleanor, is a surprise though.  A mixture of being supportive, understanding, and down right manipulative and cruel.  She was also rather unclear on actually releasing the collar after this coming weekend.  Events do just keep on going don't they!

A return to our maidbot this evening, enjoy!

I enjoy the changing roles here, the manipulation too. It appears that Mellissa's husband has something going on the side with his secretary, and I'd find it especially amusing and ironic if all involved conspired to keep Melissa in the maidbot role going forward. One electronic slave freed, all in exchange for a human one given a proper purpose in life, as well as kept out of the way. Perhaps there's even a growing market for human maidbots, and all of them can become obscenely wealthy with Melissa's kink expanded to include other inconvenient wives. There are just so many wonderful options for the next chapters...

Thank you for sharing, Jackie.

Fantastic

Great to read a new chapter, have run out of others, and always look to see if new Maidbot stories have been published

Part 5 flows, but I read most of it wondering where this was going, and with a growing sadness in my heart.  I found myself really connecting with Ursula, feeling for her, admiring what she was doing and achieving, celebrating each and every one of her steps, of her triumphs!

Watching her grow and blossom like this really was so precious, so wonderful.  I did wonder what was going on with her husband, as Jackie said, the phone message really does feel like it said a lot more than the words alone, and that it was a sense of secret being shared between two women, and an agreement happening to keep the wife out of the loop, and to avoid "bothering" her with things that she simply didn't need to know about, or think about.

This certainly suggests that our husband is going to be open to being away a lot, or to seeing his wife as a less important person in his life, which is going to make things a lot easier.

I felt sad because I was concerned that all of Ursula's growth as a thinking and feeling being was going to be snuffed out, like a candle going out, at the end of the three days.  I was hoping some way could be found to allow her periodic time as a human, even if is only being done by her and the wife swapping their roles now and then.

But the ending...  suddenly so much hope, but also such massive wickedness looms on the horizon!  There seems to be a really deep vein of wickedness in both Eleanor and Nicole.  It isn't said, but there is something in the tone of all of this that says that getting Melissa to agree to spend more time as a maid bot was less a polite agreement and more of a forced issue.

So presenting Melissa with Ursula as an honoured and respected human guest at the party, while she is a maid bot...  well, the emotional impact of that is going to be very significant!

This part was so well written, and raises some really big questions about who is alive, who deserves to be treated as alive, and what their future holds.
