Looking for a cage story

Hey folks. I am looking for an old story where a girl join an experiment and gets locked in a cage for a long period of time. The scientist/her captor always finds new ways to get her to stay longer and longer stuck in the cage until he lock her up permanently.

I don't remember much else but it's pretty specific, anyone can help me with this ?
