As always, I appreciate the comments and the kind words.  It's nice to know a handful of readers have the patience to slog through a lengthy novel, especially in these days of tiny phone screens wholly unsuitable to the time-honored pastime of sitting down with an entertaining book.

There is a new installment in the Island series, though it's far from complete.  Even after finishing a draft the proofreading is a painstaking and time-consuming process, not to mention patching up all the holes in continuity with past stories in the series.  The notes keeping track of the characters and locations could be a short story in itself.

I do wonder at times if I stray too far afield from the website theme.  However, I leave it up to the staff of Gromet's Plaza to decide if this is the proper venue for my stories.  I hope I can offer something of a change in pace from the usual website fare.
