I recall a comic where a guy went into an automated casket.  Anyway, 1 and 2 has an interesting concept that the machine is designed to keep a permanent slave.  2A was an oddball because it turned a person into a coffin.  Darkraptor over-indulges in the wrappings, though I admit that I might install a machine like that if I was a woman and it does expand on the machine functions in a way.
