Thanks for sharing. It was fascinating to watch Rene's character arc. The transition from a shy, professional coworker into someone capable of such raw aggression was gripping. This reads and flows very well.  I do want to mention an editing point first though, near the start you have:

For some reason it took me a while to figure out that "slip" must be "slit", which makes so much more sense, and is a much more interesting mental image.

Watching the incredibly shy / nervous / smitten Rene get drawn into this was fun and interesting.  Definitely a real sense of mixed signals going on here, invited to her co-workers house, her co-worker dressed up so much, an outfit really designed to wow and seduce...  but are we to accept that her co-worker really had no idea about how smitten and taken Rene was with her, and has been for so long?  That seems a bit unlikely.

Rene's initial near panic at the sight and understanding of how completely bound and captive "pet" was felt very real, the sense that she desperately needs to rescue her, to get her out of there, to save her...  that all makes sense.

I enjoyed watching her dominant side come out, but it seemed to come from nowhere, she was so passive and "little girl with a crush" like at first, we had no real sense of her being someone who would want, or enjoy power and control over someone else.  I did enjoy watching her go wild and unleash this wickedness, but it never quite settled with me, it always felt somehow a little odd.

I was uneasy about the level of extreme bondage, and harshness, that "pet" was being kept under, and the length of denial at work, but could not argue with her desperate pleas not to be released when she was checked up on, or the sense of pleasure she got from the very harsh treatment.

The final section, the complete turn about and change, came as quite the surprise and shock.  It is good to see a couple so devoted to each other, to fulfilling and realising their desires, needs and fantasies!  But I cannot help wondering about the emotional fall out from involving people they know in all of this, especially when their games require telling so many lies.

First, off thanks for the comment! Always a treasure to read your thoughts. And thabk you for the edit note. Lol I need to compile a full edit list from your comments and make edits to the original documents at some point.

As to the story itself, this one and another titled "The Breathless Chair" are the two I think are the most controversial to both my readers and myself. If you go under the comments on this one on DA you'll see how much I also had concern with this aspect of how they lied to Rene. I loved the idea of the wholesome twist where we get a seemingly dark/extreme situation (even if consensual) and then the twist is that it's just fun role play. That still leaves poor Rene emotionally manipulated though which I struggled with as my ethos in writing kink is to provide generally positive examples.

I did include the concern and the idea that they would come clean with Rene, but there certainly would be some serious fallout from this. In my head this is the first time they used someone other than a random stranger, but even with the strangers there would be an element of they are being used.

I doubt I'll revisit these two, but my headcanon would be that Rene is told it was a ruse and is really hurt and needs a lot of time to reconcile it, if she even can. The couple would be remorseful seeing the impact and would certainly try to make up for the manipulation having learned and seen first hand the consequences of their actions.

I also agree that Rene's sadistic shift is sudden. I think what I was going for is showing how easy it can be to slip into sadism in an unhealthy way. Rene had never thought about or been in a situation to be sadistic, so the idea went is was surpringly alluring to her and new to her ,especially since her crush was encouraging it and there is an element of jealousy at play under the surface that is really unhealthy and dark honestly.

I think I should have spent a bit longer on that switch and the emotional whirlwind that was consuming her.

Like I said this was one that really didn't sit right with me either. I had fun crafting a story that tried to subvert the dark twist at the end trope so often found in bdsm erotic content, but in doing so I kind of failed in my broader kink positive vibe and I failed these characters a little. Sorry...

Sadly, no plans to write a continuation of this specifically after this time. Maybe one day as I still feel bad for Rene. That said, plenty more other stories to come from me.

Enjoyed reading this story! Loved the twists,the great balance of fantasy and reality, and the character arcs. Rene's constantly shifting persona as she struggled/adjusted to being swept along by Yvette and Nicki's intimate drama was especially appealing.
