I enjoyed both parts of this story. You write well, the words flow and the descriptions of how Cathy was treated and behaved, and was finally tempted were well done and realistic. I just have one criticism, and it is one I have made about other stories, however good, and that is that poor Cathy was never once allowed to go the toilet! Even during the days strapped to the chair, her bodily functioins were completely ignored. This, for me, means that the realism of the story is seriously marred. They shouldn't just be completely ignored, as you have done. Apart from that, I repeat that I did enjoy your story.

The inspiration for the chair comes from an old Victorian era psychiatric treatment called the "Tranquilizer Chair", used in the days before drugs were safe.  It was a heavy wooden chair with the seat cut out and a bedpan underneath, for long term use.  Mea culpa for leaving out that detail since as you pointed out it did affect the sense of realism.  I did consider it while writing but decided to not delve into extraneous detail that didn't advance the story.  Think of it as a bit of dramatic license, much like the way movies and TV shows leave out toilets in jail cell scenes.

Many thanks for such a quick reply to my comment on your story. You are correct that including the details of toileting would be extraneous and not advance the story, unless, I suppose, you added it because of its potential for further humiliation of Cathy. Your analogy with the lack of toilets in jail cells on TV and in movies is very apt.
I've also enjoyed your other stories, in particular "Whispers in the Ear", which, although there's nothing in it about peeing or pooing, excited me because being tied up when completely dressed in rubber is something that I am fortunate enough to experience with the help of my girlfriend. I found it particularly intriguing that one doesn't know whether the victim was male or female.
I've only had one story posted here so far, which was a true description of my life with my girlfriend. I'm working on a further account, but have not (yet) tried fiction.

Thank you for this series Jack - I loved the philosophical thoughts on both dominance and submission as well as the physical predicaments, and looked forward to each installment after reading the first. I found the thought that a submissive should act as though their master is always present particularly enlightening. One minor note is that as the series went on, I thought Cathy's near-perfect behaviour and thoughts became a little tiresome when they didn't seem to change much over time, though that is really a minor point. Once again, thank you and looking forward to what you write next.

When writing for the fun of it, rather than for commercial purposes (and without the benefit of third party editing), there's always the hazard of one's characters becoming too one-dimensional.  Given that my stories also tend to focus on what might be termed idealistic (and simplistic) themes that don't always make proper allowance for human nature and, well, the result can drag down the story.

Your comment only confirms a nagging doubt that character development along more normal lines could improve the story as it unfolds.  I see it; you see it; the silent reader behind the tree must also see it.  I must confess I work with a severe handicap (stereotypical computer engineer by profession, therefore antisocial by nature and nurture), so I have a limited amount of experience dealing with anyone other than the "Mr. Spock" type personality.  I've been debating the best source to remedy this deficiency, so far narrowed down to either daytime soap operas, or the more exaggerated form found in telenovelas...

I like to imagine these stories exist in the same universe as Morlock's 'The Hotel' series. The Center is the result of the school that Teema wanted to start. I love both of these authors, and nothing would make me happier than to know that I am right.

Anyway, Jack, I have been inspired to increase my submission to my husband because of your stories. They make me feel like I can be submissive and feminist at the same time. I am bad at social interaction, but my husband is very good at it. Since I read your stories, I have been more able to accept his direction, instead of reacting like a child saying 'You said not to, so I'm gonna do it even more', I have been able to realize that I should listen to him, because it makes my life a lot easier when I do what he tells me. It's a journey, but I am learning to trust him completely.

I always trusted him to make financial and other decisions, but never with who I am and how I should behave.

That had changed. Our last big social event was the first time we left without me having regrets about my own behavior.
