Mystery. Does Mrs. Brown have some yet unrevealed motives?

Well written, both this and the companion story Mrs. Brown & Jon. I imagine we’ll hear more about Mrs. Brown. Thank you Max.

There is indeed more about Mrs Brown in the pipeline. These stories were a response to a thread in the Forum a while ago in which we were challenged (by Lobo?) to write from the viewpoint of the opposite sex.

Thanks for your kind review Fordman.

Nice to see the challenge met in such a nicely done way.  But there's one vitally important question nobody has thought to ask, although only us older folk would even think of it.  Does Mrs. Brown have a lovely daughter?   ;D

That's a very good question Lobo. I suppose we may find out at some point but as of now I'd say it's unlikely. She's a hedonistic sort and seems unlikely to have procreated, although mistakes do happen. Perhaps Peter Noone would know...

Wasn't sure if anyone would catch the reference.  I still have that song in my music library.

Sounds like Arthur had no idea what a 'real woman' could do. Nice story Max.

As for the reference to Peter Noone...I would've never got it. Wasn't a Herman's Hermits fan nor did I follow him after them.

Thanks for the kind review Dana.

I'm somewhat embarrassed to admit I has the 45 of that song.

No need to be...I had many 45's. I was just a Kiss (listening to at the moment), Nugent, Ozzy, Deep Purple, Foghat, UFO, BTO...etc. person. The Hermit's just did do it for me.

You're Welcome, it's a good story. Heck with a daughter...Ms. Brown sounds just fine to me  ;D

What's wrong with having a copy of that song?  It could be worse, you know.  You could have a copy of I'm Henry The Eighth I Am.  I know this because I do have a copy in my media library.

I think Max is embarrassed of the 'media' he has it on...that being a 45 vinyl of it. I think Henry the Eighth I Am is the only song I may have known by them.

I went back and listened to both songs and will remove the bit about being embarrassed. They are both quite bubble-gummy in production values but actually not all that bad. And I was 12 when they came out, so my taste was still developing. The songs hold up (sort of).

I was already well into my early experiments with rope by that time.
