Maybe I misunderstood but at one point, the first time Jane tried the corset on, and the unlocking mechanism found to be not working, I thought it said 'as it was Friday she would have the weekend to figure out what was wrong' (or words to that effect) but later, after she had tried to remove the corset that night, it says that as she could not remove the corset she decided to call work to report sick. If I am right this is a bad continuity problem. That said I did enjoy the story immensely, right down my street as they say.
