Hi All,

For those of you that have not seen this type of trash collection system, I have attached some Youtube videos.

The first one shows the lifting bag emptied into a rear loader garbage truck fitted with a chute.  You could hide in here, and go unnoticed !

You might be spotted falling into this rear loader garbage truck. The smaller chute might still restrict your escape !

This video shows what happens to the waste inside as it compacts down under gravity.  It also shows a close-up view of the lids (which seem wide enough to eat people, yummy).  Note the pretty woman dumping her trash at 1:34.  She could dump me anytime !

This video shows that you can disappear in 44 seconds from the arrival of trash truck.

Play safe out there !!   The 5,000 litre bag is apparently 8' 8" deep, so if you fell in, you might not get out.  You have been warned.....

Did you know this trash collecting device? I had never seen him before. I think a slim and light person can be sucked throught the pipe (the diameter is 500 mm, about 20 inches).

And if you would be lucky you can escape the truck before being compacted, while the fan is switched off  (but personaly I don't will try)

Thanks for posting these two additional videos. Both a great find.

I had never seen nor heard of a "sludge-gulper + garbage truck" before. Nor had I known of Molok Bins being emptied this way.  I note the Molok Bins in question, were of the rigid liner or no liner design, e.g. they did not have a lifting bag.

These videos could complement my "sucked in head first"  and "dust bag" type stories. Albeit the former was about a metro taifun system.

As for sucking up a person, the videos show another reason not to get caught inside a Molok Bin. Difficult to climb out of, once you have 'fallen inside' and you would suffocate for sure, as a vacuum has no air, by definition.

In my town molok bins are rigids containers without bags. They have a mechanic opening device in the bottom for being emptied in the garbage truck.

I agree about the fact passed throught this device would be deadly. Or you would have hard troubles in ears and lungs cause the pressure variation. Your would be heart if your head bang a metalic part during your travel in the pipe too (I don't know what's the speed inside the pipe).

I have seen videos of Molok Bins with rigid containers, which open at the bottom.  They don't look such "fun" as the bag variety....

For those interested in Molok Bins, the company's own website has a funny Q&A.  Someone asks what about people inside......  The answer comes back that it would be unlikely that a person would fall inside as the bins are 4ft above the ground level. But if a person did, they say, they might not suffocate if the lid closed above them. 

Yea, right. If the lid is airtight to keep smells in, it also keeps air out.

I don't think the person answering the Q&A for the company, was thinking about one of us deliberately getting inside !

N.B. The 5,000 litre bin is 8' 8" deep, so good luck climbing out again !!  And buried under loads of polythene bags might cut your air supply off.  People have suffocated this way before.
