I'd say Ruby was a very lucky young woman. It's would be a wonderful fictional story, but as a real life experience it's even better. Things could have gone so wrong for Ruby in any number of ways, (as you pointed out) and I also truly hope you were properly rewarded for your chivalry later on that night.

If I don't hear from her in a month I will write the rest of the experience, from my point of view, and post it.  I think that it would be interesting to hear it from her point of view.
