Very good story and a good build up to the end. I started out wondering how the poor guy got into this situation, but by the end I felt it was very much along the lnes of 'Be careful what you wish for'
Will there be a part two?

Confnement, steel shackles, mental conditioning, isolation, all the elements of an entertaining story.  Clothes, shoes?  Far too lenient for me, but I can accept the justification if they are intended to humiliate and degrade.

The sound of approaching footsteps is a nice touch.  What does it signify?  Anxiety, fear, eager anticipation?  I suppose we'll have to find out later on.
