Having just read part 1, and coming here to comment, I am thrilled to read that there are lots more parts in the works!
For a lot of this story, instead of feeling sexy or erotic feelings, I felt just a deep, powerful sadness and empathy, in a good way. I felt that I could really related to our central lady, her plight, I have times like this, nothing to this extent, but it made it all the easier to place myself into her situation, to have a sense of what she was feeling, experiencing and going through.
This gave me a very powerful sense of connection, of interest, it drew me right in and made me feel that what was happening here and going on here mattered. More than this, seeing the positive aspects coming of this, the positive experiences, also the over the top happiness and cuddly nature of the animals, it all made me smile and feel warm inside.
The story, as it stands, has left me with a lot of questions about what is going on here, but since there are several parts to come, I am hoping we will learn more about this with time.
As it stands it seems clear that the cafe is the new safe place for Clara, and I wonder how long before she will be auditioning for a role as a pet herself :)
Also I do wonder about a stronger sexual or bondage, or both, element in all of this going forward. For now though I am just happy to have enjoyed this, and have made a mental note to check out more of your writing sooner rather than later :)

Yes, there is a lot of pain and sadness in Clara's heart, one that a LOT of us can relate to. Internet and social medias are pulling everybody apart and give us the feeling that everybody needs to be perfect in the real world, when in fact, nobody is perfect and more than ever we need to be kind with each other.
The pets are really there to highlight this using their unconditional love. I'm sure you'll greatly enjoy the other chapters. Since they are so small, I'll be able to drag this story for a very long time (because I really don't want it to end... It might be my favorite story so far)
It's gonna be a tale of two steps forward and one step back... :)

It turns out part 2 was already posted, once I noticed it :)
That explains being trapped in the small sleeping compartment over night, it seemed an odd way / place to be trapped, but at the same time so comforting and comfortable.
Now I am really starting to wonder what the story is with the pets. Reading part 1, it was reasonable enough to view them as normal women who have been hired to play the role of pets. But part 2, the way they are being referred to as pets, treated as a cross between pets and people, not letting her out of the suit unless it is an emergency since it breaks the magic...
The lines are blurring, and things are not as they first seemed here, making me more curious, not less.
The more sexual nature of the bunny, Trixie, is an interesting surprise. But then, just as we start to think we have a sense of where this is going, and the expectation of this, the pressure of this, overwhelms and is simply to much for our lady, we discover that our bunny actually has a different thought and plan in mind, a much deeper and truer understanding of what has been explained to her, and the issues our lady is facing, than it first seemed!

Just made time for this one Tigerstretch, and I'm glad I did. I love the way the you are portraying the social disorder and Clara's struggle with it. It feels authentic in the reactions, very humanizing

I think it's a bit funny (in a good way) that the pets don't necessarily follow their costumes attributes. I had to laugh that Meeka the Raccoon is vegetarian and Trixie the Rabbit isn't, and is very contemptuous to having to drink the vegetarian food bottle.

Haha... yes... I did that on purpose. :) And in chapter 5 at the mall, Meeka indeed purchased some more vegetarian food... it entertained me. ;)

First I would like to point out to those who still have their blindfolds locked on that at the time I finished part 1 there was no link at the bottom to part 2, so it wasn't until I happened to go looking to see what else this entertaining author had written that I discovered part 2 was already posted.
Now, either I can accept responsibility for this, or decide that someone else needs to be punished for this... I wonder which one I will choose 8)
I am now up to part 5, and the more I read and see, the more I like.
I still would not call this sexy or erotic, but I would call it deeply sensitive and moving! Watching the pets at the cafe, and how demanding they actually are, it makes more sense that the shop owner has not had any time off in a month or more, these pets are clearly a rather demanding set of companions, at least as far as their keeper goes :)
So finding someone else who accepts the pets so well, is trusted by the pets, and can actually be trusted to help look after them and oversee them is going to be a massive boon to her. I did notice, with rather mixed emotions, the way she scolded our over shy lady! On the one hand, effectively treating her like one of her pets is a very interesting hint of how she is being seen, with her lack of speaking, and generally cuddly behaviour. At the same time, it was a very naughty and mean thing to do to someone who is so shy and struggling to cope...
Still, if she isn't pushed to try and cope a bit more then she isn't going to progress or grow.
This is clearly something the pets understand at a deep level themselves. Notice the mixture of being purely supportive, yet also pushing their own wants, needs, and pushing and encouraging touch, pleasure, sexual encounters and their own pleasures. They are finding the balance point between everyone's needs, and showing why they are working as cuddle companions at the same time.
It was rather interesting to see the pets in the mall, answering at least one question about their nature and role in all of this. They are clearly not kept slaves, and do have a live and existence outside of their pet roles, even if the pet roles are a very large and important part of their lives and natures :)
Looking forward to more of this wonderful story and experience :)

May I just say how delightful this story series is.
I read a lot from pretty full-on stories which have some pretty intense experiences for the characters and then you get this which is equally intense but in a beautifully loving way. The development of the protagonist and the delightful pets are just wonderful. It's engaging and somewhat uplifting.

As I was reading the previous Chapter and she Lucy suited Clara up I thought that line was going to be a stinger at the close.
Both good chapters. I also was glad Asha apparently owned up to her part in the shower incident and didn't let Clara take all the heat.

Everybody is different. It is very sad that the society keeps pounding in your head that you need to become like everybody else. It's never gonna happen. The best thing you can do is to be happy with who you are and work hard on the aspects of yourself that you want to improve.

*Spoiler alerts* In Feliformia 11, Kitty explained to Syr that everybody is acting one way or another to escape/deal with personal problem. It's okay to do so, as long as you are not using it permanently. One day, you have to return to who you really are and face real life and work on improving yourself. :) I think you should read that chapter when it comes out on Gromet. :)

Thanks. Animal Café is a beacon of light in the fetish world. This idea I got is probably the best I ever had and I consider it a perfect series. The small size of the chapter, Clara's progression and the cuteness make that series one of a kind. Im writing chapter 17 now and Im still not tired. I feel that the possibilities are endless.

It was a risky move, as you said, there was no obvious conflict between the two worlds. I needed an artist to create the costumes and Syr was the obvious choice since it was her job. And since Kitty is a little nosy pervert, it also felt natural for her to try to investigate. Syr being a secretive person also was just a continuity.
Im pretty happy with the end result.

I'm sure this answers the question of the source of the money to pay for the 'pethouse' and 'petsuits' themselves. Obviously at least a couple of the petgirls knew him as well

In that chapter, I opened so many doors. I can tell you that this husband thing won't be discussed in the next chapters, but will eventually come back in the story. :)

Exactly that. That Oreo chapter explain who Oreo is and how she perceives the world and why she ends up tied up on the bed... But really, no big deal. Both chapters can be read in whatever order. I just prefer to read Oreo first before 19. :)

By the way, Animal Café 20 and 21 is a crossover with Feliformia 14. It's going to be a while before you see 21 and 14, but just keep that in mind in case you are familiar with both series. :)

In general i loved the pacing, vibes, petgirls and most of all i loved all the characters in this story but my favorite is Clara because so far i love her development. But i'll be honest the sole reason that i began reading this was that i hoped that Clara one day would actually become a petgirl in the cafe and of course i still do hope that she finally becomes one. (and please make Clara a petgirl in the café she would be the best petgirl ever :P ) All in all this was a great read can't wait for more chapters.

Well, rejoice because I said something untrue... it ends at 33... not 32... And since chapter 31 is 21000 words (the equivalent of 4 regular chapters) it's like you still have 6-7 chapters to read ahead of you. That should satiate your hunger. ;)

It's not erotic, and it is extremely dramatic. Of all the chapters I wrote during the past 2 years, this must be my best one. So if you are a big fan of animal cafe, you are in for quite ride.

And if I'm not around when 32 and 33 are published, it's a two parts ending. They are quite weird, but I felt that it was a great way to end that series.

Glad you enjoyed it. I re-read it yesterday just for fun, and it was really good even though I think I could have done better if I had not been pressed by a deadline. I think it's going to take me a while before I write again. I'm not much in the mood.

I'm not ashamed to say the same sammy! I had to stop more than a few times to reach for the tissue box.
Excellent job Tigerstretch in conveying the emotion. Narratively this origin story was close to what I expected based on the earlier foreshadowing, but you poured so much of the emotion into it, it truly was gut-retching and heart warming at the same time.
I've still got Ch 32 to go, so a few more go rounds with Clara and the Petgirls for me
