Title: Dark Stories Unhappy or Tragic Endings
Post by: Eido on November 18, 2019, 05:54:36 AM
I must be in the depressive phase of my up and down.

I need some darkness.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Eido

Here are two interesting tales of journeys towards an uncertain existence that I feel stood out in a literary sense...

Jen's Journey (https://www.literotica.com/s/jens-journey) by kjjackson
Description: Her road to total submission.

Descent (https://www.literotica.com/s/descent-ch-01-steps) (10 part story) by imalaraida
Description: She wants him to use magic to make her submit.

I found these stories using the Amateur Erotica Survey website which monitors literotica.com for BDSM related story elements:

The later parts of the Monica's Place Anthology get darker starting progressively with the Third major chapter

Thanks, subGrrl. Jen's Journey read a lot like a modernized , bare bones, Story of O. Very creepy. But it's been over 30 years since I read that, so I may be misremembering a little. I started on Descent, but that might take me a little longer.

Thank you also Loras Pa6, the Monica stories have long been my go to place for stirring up confused and angry feelings about characters and situations. I love the end of it though. How the mighty fall and all their works are laid waste.  In the end, I think Monica and Richard are birds of a feather, and that only luck and some of the people she had in her life kept her from being just like him.

Thanks again!
Keep those cards and letters coming :)

Here's another dark story that is quite a stand-out (in my opinion):

Samantha's Cage (https://www.utopiastories.com/code/show_story.asp/recid/63550) by Logan Wesley

"My Butler James" and "The Bones In The Dungeon" are both some of my darker stories, bones not ever properly completed though. I generally like reading happy ending stories, so I don't know why I have chosen to write stories that contradict that preference, other than like you I may have been in a dark mood at the time.

Best wishes, Jackie.

Thanks Jackie, and I'd like to just say dang that is an extensive catalog. I look forward to getting better acquainted with your writing, and not just the two you recommended.

Whoa, subGrrl! Samantha's Cage was almost too dark! Part of me wants Mr. Woods to get an evil and violent comeupance.

Thanks for the recommendation :)

YMMV on whether the ending is tragic or not, but my own "The Embrace of Darkness" is unquestionably dark. Not super long, might take you roughly 10 minutes to read it beginning to end.

You'll find it here:
