Thanks for the comment.  Your criticism is valid in that a short story format should focus on a single character, or interaction between two characters.  For a novel I aimed for a change of plan, first defining the players and then exploring how their lives intertwine against the backdrop of a d/s themed society.  Think of the ensemble cast type of TV drama, where stories don't rely solely on one individual.

Does the story jump around?  Yes, intentionally so. It's a mechanism to provide a sense of converging timelines as the interactions come into play.  Did it work?  Obviously not for every reader.  I readily confess I write purely for the pleasure in putting imagination to the written word.  I have the luxury of no commercial pressure, no need to build an audience. Those who don't care for the way the story unfolds can walk away.  After all, it is entertainment, and if it doesn't catch one's interest it becomes boring instead.

I realize my storytelling style doesn't appeal to the majority of readers on Grometplaza.  There are plenty of short stories by skilled authors that fit into the type of format described in the review.  My hope is to offer something a little bit different for a change of pace.

Looking for a Story / sub-shop stories
« Last post by lockedup4eva on April 13, 2024, 10:33:40 am »
Hi all

Does anyone remember the original sub-shop.com run by Autumn? It had a section of bondage fiction including one story I remember called "bondage 101". When the site was revamped about 10 years ago they didn't include this section any more and I can't find these stories. There were some really great ones in there I'd like to revisit.

For the third time I tried to get into the Island, after an attempt at launch of part one and now another one when part two came out...
It seems that I just don't get the connection going.

My problem this time is that I can get a connection with Elise, she is a strong and deeply attractive character and then I find myself skipping the non-Elise things till I get to the next part I'm interested in. Because I understand that's not how it's suppose to work I abandoned the story for the third time.
I think bonding with three sets of characters in what feels like one ginormous introduction to something epic is a bit much... at least for me at this moment in time.

I wouldn't neccessarily change the pacing, but I would split it into three different pieces so that the reader can bond with all sets of characters and give them the attention they (probably) deserve.

Thank you for taking my wellmeant feedback into consideration.

Pet & PonyGirl Stories / Re: Part-Time Equine by ForeverAltered

Thank you so much for notifying us, @teanndaorsa. It has indeed been more romantic, something I wouldn't have thought possible. Those budding relationships are so interesting to read about, and the stables finding back together into one large family. It's really wholesome. However, from my own experience, living with a sadist can be ... difficult, at times. On the other hands, clear rules and respect and love for each other can make that into a deep and loving relationship too, with both partners being ... equally important. :) I just hope that Jade never ever tries to pull of a Mr. Gray.

However, what I really would like to know, is how do the ponies get through the day? I mean, weather is not always nice, it can be rainy and windy sometimes. Mother nature also requires us to ingest and lose water during the day, and food too...After all the girls can't just roam a vast paddock and nibble on the grass?

Looking forward to the next episode, QD.

Bondage Discussion / Re: What is the actual use of gags?
« Last post by celine13006 on April 12, 2024, 10:10:16 am »
Gord devised some wonderful gagging contraptions. Normal gags make you unintelligible, but if you mix that with e-stims and a microphone, you can devise a gag that will shock you (mildly) if it detects any sound coming from the gag.
i was very interresting on this mix technoligie until i saw the price lol
But it steel very pleasant to watch on his (gord) video

Thank you LockedUp4Eva for continuing one of the best series on the site!

I often go back and re read the earlier chapters, so invested in on the evolving relationship between Jo and Chris and wait with anticipation to see how you will intertwine all of the characters you've developed.

Also, the "Continues in part 11" at the bottom of the page is such a tease.

Hi! Big fan of your stories! But I was just wondering if there were any plans on continuing Feliformia? I absolutely love the series but I haven't been able to find any confirmation on whether or not chapter 14 is the final chapter in the series, unlike Animal Café (which is my absolute favorite series) where it was clear that chapter 33 was the final chapter. Many thanks for your stories, I absolutely adore them!

Welcome back Locked! I was genuinely concerned for your wellbeing and hope you didn’t find yourself in an oubliette of your own these past 6-8 months. Though I suspect you’d rather enjoy that… Nonetheless, solid storytelling as always. You are a master of suspense and tension. I hope to be reading Chapter 11 soon with the tale meandering back to Jo and Chris’s frame of reference. I recently had the similar thought that (in literature and real-life) the sub is ever at the center of attention, sensuality, and response; perhaps pulling more enjoyment/fulfilment out of the BDSM lifestyle than the dom, as seems to be the internal struggle regarding Jo and how she’s beginning to view Chris and his psyche. The addition of Slaves 1 and 2 are welcome and I can’t wait to see how the dynamics work out in the grand hierarchy of things. I just hope that things don’t become obvious or telegraphed (i.e. I’m waiting to see if there’s a good twist in the future) regarding Chris and Jo. Again going back to the well of the initial chapters and my previous posts, I’m a hopeless romantic and your tale is my guilty pleasure. But they are your puppets and I’m just another audience member, I look forward to watching the rest of the show.
Au revoir et bonne nuit… l’obscurite peut vraiment etre si tentante.
