Title: New look webpages Updated
Post by: Gromet on February 24, 2018, 08:32:30 am
There are some new changes to make the pages load faster, easier and are scale-able to view on smaller devices, all of the stories are now in the new format. So you can now read the stories on Selfbound on whatever device you wish.

Thanks to webnik for all of the work involved in recreating, reformatting and refreshing the site, it was a huge task to undertake but the wonderful results speak for themselves.

Latest Update:

Selfbound - done (both stories and main pages)
Latexstories - done (both stories and main pages)
Mummified - done (both stories and main pages)
Packaged & Encasement - done (both stories and main pages)
Boundstories - done (both stories and main pages)
Main Plaza - done.

Next up the Other World section...  ::)

These all work now even on your phone, (no it won't work if you don't have a screen on your phone)
Check them out.

Thanks once again to Webnik for all of his time and work put into this project.
BTW If anyone wants a web tech guy, I highly recommend Webnik, he has worked tirelessly getting the reformatting and refreshing the sites.

Latest Update on the New Sites

Most if not all of the stories have now been converted, some had to be done by hand (a long process... )

Work continues on the "Other Worlds' section.

Conversion of the sites into a database has begun.

Are examples of the new website.

Update 16.04.18:

Sites now under the new database:
Selfbound
Mummified
Packaged
Latex
Trashcan

All of the pages are made by the new database, just like magic! Stories added to whatever story section also appear in the main stories page and those listed by author as well (once all the sites are done).

Plus I have a maidbot now that helps me upload the pages to the various sites and also post the story to the forum. Makes life a lot easier for me to post or repost stories.

Update 24.04.18

All main and other world sites are now converted to the database, except Dollstories/maidbots.
Even the back pages as well.

So now you can get all of your Plaza goodness on any device, in any size!

Thanks once again to Webnik who's been the mastermind behind the whole change over, he's been working very hard (and making me do lots of work too) to make the plaza a better place to visit.

There are a few more changes to make the pages appear cleaner and easy to load/view.

Bug report on top page:
The "read" setting has been set to the wrong level, it should be behind each individual link to a page, not the page itself. The result is that once you have looked at, for example, the Forum, it's forever marked as "read", whereas what should be happening is that only that particular link should be set. As a result, you cannot tell whether you've looked at what's just been published or not - it's telling you, incorrectly, that you've done so already.

Bug report on top page:
"There is a new test search engine for the story database, you can search by Title/Author/Storycodes (not tags). Please feel free to give it a try and let us have feedback on what you think of it. Either via email or on the forum - thanks." The link to "on the forum" is dead.

All the best
Tom

Thanks Tom, will pass this on to Webnik.

The forum link seems to work this end, but will get it checked out.
