It is all trash. Cars can be trash too.
All videos show the inside of a compactor / crusher, and I like that.

Me too. There are videos of trash being crushed. But all such videos are shot from outside the working garbage truck.
Perhaps some can throw a GoPro camera inside and retrieve afterwards.
Any volunteers, for a good cause......
(And no. I ain't paying for the camera.)

Not sure how the videographer might retrieve the memory card, though.
It would involve searching through the truck's contents, presumably once it had been unloaded.
The videographer would have to have someone, on the inside (working for the dump and/or truck) to help get it back.
Which probably why no volunteer has stepped forward. lol.

Or maybe there's a way to make the camera relay everything straight to a computer, like a video surveillance system. It would record straight to the computer until the camera stops working.

Oh, far from it. XD I've just played with this idea for years so I've come up with some pretty interesting ways to solve this problem. Lol.

It would be nice if somehow we could get a video inside a working trash compactor or garbage truck.
Hoping that someone in our trashcan community can do it, or knows how...

Found these videos years ago but they ended up going private at some point. Delighted to say they've reappeared. Front loader trucks, great views of the trash being compacted (lots of black bags too), but also has videos of trash being ejected at landfill, and even a couple of videos inside the hopper!

Going back to revisit the idea of a camera going into a garbage truck, It could happen. I have a gopro 5 that has remote ability. I can and have used the camera, either mounted someplace or placed somewhere, then viewed and saved the footage to either my cell phone or my computer. There does have to be a reasonably close proximity from phone to camera, but once crushed into a truck it's just going to be dark with sounds anyways. So if you could find a person willing to part with several hundred dollars of their own money to throw their camera into a truck. Well then, there is hope that it could be recorded....
And on another note, I know many of you on here are on Fetlife. Is anyone interested that isnt' on Fetlife in seeing inside compactor videos that I have shot?
